PKR edges higher, closes at 280.81 Against USD

November 10, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistani rupee (PKR) increased by 1.61 paisa against the US dollar in Monday's interbank session to settle the trade at PKR 280.81 per USD, compared to previous closing of 280.82.

Throughout the day, the currency saw an intraday high (bid) of 281.00 and a low (ask) of 281.85.

In the open market, exchange companies quoted the dollar at 281.50 for buying and 281.90 for selling.

In comparison to major currencies, PKR fell 90.81 paisa or 0.28% against the Euro, closing at 324.94 compared to the previous value of 324.03.

Against the British Pound, PKR fell by 96.17 paisa or 0.26% to 369.53 compared to 368.57 a day ago.

The local unit deteriorated 88.61 paisa or 0.25% against Swiss franc to close at 348.53.

Against the Japanese Yen, PKR's value strengthened 0.75 paisa or 0.41% to close the session at 1.8228 versus 1.8303 a day ago.

Pakistani Rupee deteriorated 2.30 paisa or 0.06% against Chinese Yuan to close at 39.45 from 39.43.

The local currency gained by 0.23 paisa or 0.00% against Saudi Riyal to 74.87. While it strengthened by 0.44 paisa or 0.01% against the U.A.E Dirham to close at 76.45.

During the current fiscal year, PKR has gained against the US Dollar by 2.96 rupees or 1.05%. While it has depreciated 2.26 rupees or 0.80% so far this calendar year.

In the Money Market, the benchmark 6 Month Karachi Interbank Bid and Offer rates inched down by 2bps to 10.93% and 11.18%.
