PAKL moves to join UK-based Leather Working Group for export

February 20, 2026 (MLN): Pak Leather Crafts Limited (PSX:PAKL) Board of Directors has approved the application for membership of the Leather Working Group, a UK-based international audit certification organization.

The Leather Working Group has designed standards to certify all stages of the supply chain, from raw hide to finished leather, for its members, according to the company's statement issued today.

LWG certification holds crucial requirements for export to many international brands and retailers, especially in the US and Europe, who are committed to responsible sourcing.

Obtaining this certification will open doors to global supply chains that would otherwise be inaccessible to the company, directly contributing to increased export opportunities for Pakistani leather manufacturers.
