OGDC collects Rs7.7bn in energy sector circular debt

January 23, 2026 (MLN): Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (PSX: OGDC) has received the seventh installment of Rs7.725 billion as part of the circular debt settlement plan from Power Holding (Private) Limited (PHL).

This installment is one of twelve equal monthly payments agreed under the Government of Pakistan (GOP) approved mechanism, the company's filing on PSX revealed today.

The total interest amount of Rs92bn is being repaid in twelve equal monthly installments, which commenced in July 2025.

The receipt of this installment demonstrates ongoing progress under the GOP’s initiative to resolve circular debt within the energy sector.
