March 25, 2026 (MLN): Lucky Motor Corporation has clarified that Kia vehicles in Pakistan do not require mandatory use of high-octane fuel, addressing rising consumer concerns following recent increases in Hi-Octane prices.

In an official statement, the company said its vehicles are designed and tested to operate efficiently on regular unleaded fuel with a minimum octane rating of RON 91 or above, as specified in the owner’s manual.

The automaker added that consumers can continue using RON 92 fuel, commonly marketed as Super or Premier, without any compromise on performance or reliability.

It emphasized that the use or mixing of Hi-Octane fuel is not necessary for Kia models in the local market.

However, the company advised customers to refuel only from reputable stations to ensure fuel quality, noting that contaminated or adulterated fuel could impact vehicle performance.

The clarification comes at a time when fuel pricing remains a key concern for consumers, particularly amid broader inflationary pressures and volatility in global oil markets.
