Mobiz sets up regional office in Karachi

August 27, 2026 (MLN): Chairman Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Dr. Kabir Ahmed Sidhu, welcomed the establishment of a regional office in Pakistan by Mobiz, a Pakistani-owned technology company based in Silicon Valley, USA.

The company has established its Pakistan regional office at NASTP, Karachi, and provides cloud, data, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity services across various countries.

Dr. Sidhu stated that Pakistan's talented youth have the potential to play a prominent role in the global IT market, adding that the expansion of global technology companies into the country shows confidence in Pakistan's IT talent.

He noted that Pakistan has significant potential to emerge as a regional technology and global services hub.

The Chairman SECP added that the Commission is working on transparency, digitalization, and regulatory reforms to facilitate ease of doing business, while modern technology can reduce business costs and time and enhance transparency and efficiency.

He further noted that investment by global IT companies in Pakistan would create new employment and international work opportunities for the country's youth.

Dr. Sidhu congratulated Mobiz Global on the launch of its Karachi office and extended his best wishes for its further expansion in Pakistan.
