Meezan Bank makes it to MSCI Frontier Markets Index

November 06, 2025 (MLN): In the latest MSCI November 2025 Index Review, Meezan Bank Limited (PSX: MEBL) has been included in the MSCI Frontier Markets Index, marking a notable milestone for Pakistan’s financial sector.

This is a major recognition for Pakistan’s growing representation in frontier market equities.

As per MSCI, all changes will take effect after the market closes on November 24, 2025.

Meezan Bank stands among the three largest additions to the Frontier Markets Index by full company market capitalization, alongside Vietnam Airlines JSC (Vietnam) and Bank Al Etihad (Jordan).

This inclusion marks a positive development for Pakistan, potentially attracting enhanced foreign investor attention toward the country’s financial sector.

MSCI also announced adjustments across its broader global indexes, including the addition of 69 securities and deletion of 64 from the MSCI ACWI Index, as well as various changes across the Small Cap, All Cap, and Investable Market Indexes.

Meanwhile, due to market accessibility issues, MSCI stated it will not implement any changes for securities classified in Bangladesh in this review cycle.
