Mari Energies begins gas supply from Shams-1 discovery to SNGPL

June 23, 2026 (MLN): Mari Energies Limited (PSX: MARI) has commenced gas supply of up to 30 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) from its Shams-1 discovery to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), according to a disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) today.

The supply started on June 19, 2026, during the Extended Well Testing (EWT) phase, following government approval, the company said.

The development follows Mari Energies’ earlier communication dated March 19, 2026, in which it announced a gas and condensate discovery at the Shams-1 well located within the Mari Development & Production Lease (D&PL) in Daharki, Sindh.

Mari Energies is the operator of the Mari D&PL with a 100% working interest, the filing added.

The company said the information has been shared in line with regulatory requirements under Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015 and PSX disclosure regulations, and requested dissemination to market participants.

The commencement of gas supply from a new discovery is typically viewed as a key operational milestone, signaling early monetization of reserves during the testing phase.
