LSMI output jumps by 11.5% YoY in June

August 16, 2022 (MLN): Large Scale Manufacturing Industries (LSMI) output witnessed an increase of 11.5% YoY in June 22, as the LSMI Quantum Index Number (QIM) was recorded at 130.9 points against 117.4 points in June 2021, the latest data released by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) showed on Tuesday.

On a month-on-month basis, the LSM growth inched higher by only 0.2% in June 2022 against the previous month of the same year.

The overall output of LSMI increased by 11.7% for FY22 compared to the previous fiscal year.

The production in July-June 2021-22 as compared to July-June 2020-21 has increased in Food, Textile, Wearing apparel, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Iron & Steel products, Automobiles and Furniture while it decreased in Rubber Products and Other Transport Equipment.
