June 24, 2025 (MLN): Iran has reported that at least 610 civilians have been killed and more than 4,700 wounded in the Islamic Republic since hostilities with Israel began on June 13.

According to ministry spokesman Hossein Kermanpour, “they are all civilians.”

The new figures mark a sharp increase from the previously reported death toll of over 400 and 3,056 injured, as APP reported.

Kermanpour shared on social media platform X that hospitals had witnessed “extremely harrowing scenes” over the past 12 days.

Among those killed in Israeli strikes were 13 children, including a two-month-old infant, as well as five doctors and rescue workers, according to the ministry.

Additionally, seven hospitals and nine ambulances were damaged during the attacks.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed on Tuesday that a ceasefire between Iran and Israel is now in effect. “THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT!” he wrote on his platform, Truth Social.

Trump earlier said the truce would follow a phased 24-hour process starting at 0400 GMT Tuesday, with Iran halting operations first and Israel following 12 hours later.
