October 31, 2025 (MLN):  The government is fully committed to tackling Pakistan’s mounting housing crisis, which has surpassed ten million units, through innovative policies, sustainable development, and strong public-private partnerships.

This was stated by Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada while inaugurating the “Build Pakistan 2025 – Let’s Build Together” exhibition and conference at Expo Centre, Lahore, said a press release issued.

The three-day international event, jointly organized by the Ministry of Housing and Works and Fakt Exhibitions Pvt. The inaugural ceremony began with a ribbon-cutting, followed by the Minister’s walkthrough of exhibition halls showcasing advanced building technologies, eco-friendly materials, and affordable housing models.

In his keynote address, the Minister emphasized the need for an enabling environment to promote affordability, expand housing finance, and encourage private sector investment in climate-resilient urban spaces.

He also unveiled key components of the forthcoming National Housing Policy 2025, focusing on housing finance reform, energy-efficient design, and inter-sectoral collaboration to achieve sustainable growth.

Prominent participants included CEO of Fakt Exhibitions Mr. Saleem Khan Tanoli, former Federal Secretary for Housing and ex-Director General of Walled City Lahore Authority Mr. Kamran Lashari, Urban Development Specialist Mr. Nadeem Khurshid, and Pro Rector of NUML University Prof. Dr. Safeer Awan.

The conference will continue until November 1, 2025, featuring expert sessions, technical discussions, and networking opportunities aimed at promoting innovation and partnerships in Pakistan’s construction and housing sectors.
