FFC raises Sona DAP price by Rs400

May 12, 2026 (MLN): Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited has increased the price of its flagship fertilizer product Sona DAP, showing continued pressure in global fertilizer markets.

The company has raised the price of Sona DAP by Rs400 per bag, taking the new price to Rs15,633 per bag, up from Rs15,233 per bag, effective May 12, 2025, Ismail Iqbal Securities told Mettis Global.

This marks another upward revision following the previous increase declared on May 5, 2025.

The latest price adjustment is primarily driven by a sharp rise in international DAP (Diammonium Phosphate) prices, as global fertilizer markets remain volatile amid escalating geopolitical tensions following the U.S.–Iran conflict.

Since the onset of the conflict, Sona DAP prices have cumulatively increased by Rs1,624 per bag, highlighting sustained cost escalation in the fertilizer segment.

The latest revision is expected to impact farm input costs ahead of the upcoming crop cycles, potentially influencing agricultural margins and fertilizer demand dynamics in the local market.
