FBR extends sales tax returns deadline to August 4

July 25, 2025 (MLN): The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the deadline for submission of Sales Tax and Federal Excise Returns for the tax period of June 2025 to August 4, 2025.

The extension applies to returns that were originally due on July 18, 2025.

The FBR issued this directive under the powers conferred by Section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, and Section 43 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005.

The extension is subject to the condition that the due sales tax liability is deposited within the original due date.
