EFU Life Assurance considers acquisition of Waada Digital

June 29, 2026 (MLN): EFU Life Assurance Limited (PSX:EFUL) is considering a potential acquisition of Waada Digital (Private) Limited, following approval from its Board of Directors.

The contemplated transaction, however, remains subject to due diligence, negotiation, and execution of definitive transaction documents.

Receipt of all applicable corporate and regulatory approvals will also be required before the deal can be concluded.

The aforementioned information was disseminated through a notification to Exchange.

Waada Digital is a Karachi-based insurtech startup focused on making insurance simple, affordable, and accessible across Pakistan, with a broader vision of bringing the country's insurance penetration in line with other South Asian economies.

If the acquisition goes through, it would mark a significant strategic move for EFU Life, one of Pakistan's leading life insurance companies into the digital insurance distribution space, potentially strengthening its reach across underserved market segments.
