CCP raises youth awareness on benefits of competitive markets

November 11, 2025 (MLN): The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) used its participation at the Pakistan Data Fest 2025 to raise public awareness particularly among the youth about the importance of competitive markets in supporting consumer welfare and economic growth. 

The stall featured visually engaging infographics and research-based insights showing how competition drives innovation, lowers prices, and expands consumer choice, said a press release issued.

The Pakistan Data Fest 2025, organized by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) at the Pak-China Friendship Centre, brought together government institutions, academia, private sector representatives, and students to highlight the growing role of data and evidence-based policymaking in shaping Pakistan’s development trajectory.

CCP officials also briefed visitors on the basic principles of the Competition Act, 2010, and how fair competition ensures transparency and a level playing field for businesses.

Students, researchers, and professionals interacted with CCP representatives and expressed interest in exploring careers and research opportunities in competition economics and law.

The Commission’s participation aimed to foster a broader culture of fair competition and public awareness through accessible, data-driven outreach.
