BankIslami appoints new chairman, CEO succession set for September

August 10, 2026 (MLN): BankIslami Pakistan Limited's (PSX:BIPL) newly elected Board of Directors, at its first meeting held on August 10, 2026, appointed Mr. Shahid Hussain Jatoi as Chairman of the Board, effective the same day, for a term of three years, according to a notice sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

In a separate notice, the bank informed the exchange that its Board had also decided, at the same meeting, that Mr. Rizwan Ata will continue to serve as President & Chief Executive Officer until the completion of his current three-year term, which concludes on September 28, 2026.

The Board recognized and appreciated Mr. Ata's efforts during his tenure.

The Board further appointed Mr. Imran Haleem Shaikh, presently serving as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, to take charge as the incoming President & CEO for a term of three years, effective September 29, 2026.

The bank noted that Mr. Shaikh's appointment remains subject to the requisite regulatory clearance from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The aforementioned information was disseminated through a notification to Exchange.
