Bank Makramah secures court approval for restructuring scheme

November 19, 2025 (MLN): Bank Makramah Limited (PSX:BML) has received sanction from the Islamabad High
Court for its restructuring Scheme of Arrangement with Global Haly Development
Limited (GHDL), enabling the bank to meet the minimum capital requirement set
by the State Bank of Pakistan.
Under the sanctioned scheme, fully paid ordinary shares of
BML will be issued and allotted to GHDL shareholders, while BML’s share capital
will be reduced through cancellation of capital unrepresented by available
assets, according to the company's statement issued today.
The bank’s issued and paid-up capital will be treated as Rs.
10 billion, divided into one billion ordinary shares of Rs. 10 each as of the
effective date.
Book closure dates required to implement the scheme will be
set after consultation with the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
