Askari Insurance to double share capital

August 7,2025 (MLN): Askari General Insurance Company Limited (PSX: AGIC) to double the Company’s authorized share capital from Rs1 billion to Rs2bn, increasing the number of ordinary shares from 100m to 200m at a face value of Rs.10 each.

To seek shareholders’ approval for the proposed change, the Board has resolved to convene an Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM) on August 29, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the Company’s Head Office, according to the company's statement issued today.

The Company has also shared the closure of its share transfer books from August 23 to August 29, 2025 (both days inclusive). Share transfers received in order at the office of the Company’s Registrar, Karachi, by the close of business on August 22, 2025, will be considered in time for the purpose of attending and voting at the EOGM.

The notice of the EOGM will be circulated to shareholders and stakeholders within the prescribed regulatory timeline.
