June 09, 2026 (MLN): Apple introduced a major upgrade to its digital assistant, Siri, powered by artificial intelligence, during its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), marking one of the company's most significant moves in generative AI.

The revamped assistant is designed to deliver more personalized and context-aware interactions by understanding information across apps, messages, and previous user conversations.

According to Apple, the upgraded Siri can retrieve details shared earlier such as addresses, recommendations, or other information exchanged in messages without requiring users to manually save them, as reported by APP.

The company said the new AI-powered Siri is capable of drawing on a broader range of online information to provide richer and more relevant responses to user queries.

It also features a redesigned conversational experience, enabling more natural speech patterns and quicker reactions during interactions.

As part of the rollout, Apple is introducing a dedicated application that stores AI-generated searches, requests, and visual content.

The platform will be available across iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices and will operate using Apple's private cloud computing system, which the company says is designed to maintain user privacy while handling advanced AI tasks.

Apple confirmed that the enhanced Siri experience will initially launch in English, with support for additional languages planned in future updates.

The company added that regulatory requirements will delay the availability of the new AI features in the European Union and China.

Meanwhile, the upgraded assistant is expected to arrive on iPads first, with Apple also working to extend the technology to its smartwatch lineup in the future.

The declaration highlights Apple's push to integrate artificial intelligence more deeply across its ecosystem as competition intensifies among major technology companies in the AI space.Top of FormBottom of Form
