Altern Energy Limited exits core power agreements

May 04, 2026 (MLN): Altern Energy Limited (PSX:ALTN) has signed Termination Agreements with the Government of Pakistan and key state entities, bringing a formal close to several foundational contracts underpinning its power operations.

On April 30, 2026, AEL executed a Termination Agreement with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Central Power Purchasing Agency (Guarantee) Limited (CPPA-G), under which three key instruments have been dissolved, the Implementation Agreement with the Government of Pakistan, the Government-issued Guarantee, and the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) executed with CPPA-G.

On the same date, AEL also signed a separate Termination Agreement with Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), effectively ending the Gas Supply Agreement that had been in place between the two parties.

The disclosures were made to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on May 4, 2026, in continuation of earlier material information submissions filed in March and November 2025.
