October 20, 2026 (MLN): Attock Cement Pakistan Limited (PSX: ACPL) reported a 29% surge in its net profit for the first quarter ended September 30, 2026 (1QFY27 / 3MFY27), reaching Rs1.08bn compared to Rs834.70m in the corresponding period last year.

Reflecting this bottom-line momentum, basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) expanded to Rs7.85, up from Rs6.07 in 1QFY26.

The primary drivers behind the strong quarterly performance were a 14% expansion in revenue from customer contracts alongside a 49% cut in finance costs.

Revenue for the quarter rose to Rs12.03bn, up from Rs10.54bn in 1QFY26. Despite cost of sales increasing 17% to Rs8.78bn, gross profit grew 8% to Rs3.25bn compared to Rs3.01bn in the prior period.

On the operational front, administrative expenses contracted 2% to Rs247.34m, while distribution costs rose 7% to Rs1.21bn.

Supported by a 42% boost in "other income" (Rs122.65m up from Rs86.44m) and despite other expenses of Rs126.10m, operating profit increased 11% to Rs1.79bn.

Below the operating line, ACPL gained substantial debt-servicing relief. Finance costs plummeted by 49% to Rs115.87m (down from Rs228.92m in 1QFY26). This borrowing cost reduction pushed profit before income tax up 21% to Rs1.68bn.

The company absorbed a corporate income tax charge of Rs596.72m for the quarter (up 10% from Rs544.54m in 1QFY26).

Backed by strong top-line sales, stable gross margins, and significant debt servicing relief, Attock Cement Pakistan Limited securely closed the three-month period with its net profit reaching Rs1.08bn.
