PSX Closing Bell: Bulls Take a Step Forward

December 30, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Tuesday's trading session at 174,472.79, showing an increase of 576.45 points or 0.33%.

The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 174,805.15 (+908.81) and a low of 174,121.41 (+225.07) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 415.89 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 63 closed up, 36 closed down, while 1 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were SSGC (+7.74%), UNITY (+7.25%), ATRL (+4.52%), AICL (+3.31%), and YOUW (+3.25%).

On the other hand, top losers were KOHC (-2.90%), DGKC (-2.87%), THALL (-2.66%), RMPL (-2.27%), and IBFL (-2.19%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were OGDC (+156.90pts), UBL (+141.81pts), PPL (+114.67pts), PSO (+84.75pts), and HUBC (+66.50pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were FFC (-147.46pts), EFERT (-62.22pts), DGKC (-52.60pts), FCCL (-35.09pts), and MLCF (-32.27pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+303.59pts), Commercial Banks (+235.12pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (+134.66pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+70.19pts), and Refinery (+53.84pts).

While the index was let down by Fertilizer (-214.94pts), Cement (-154.79pts), Automobile Parts & Accessories (-19.67pts), Real Estate Investment Trust (-9.88pts), and Glass & Ceramics (-8.64pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 104,651.33 with a net gain of 512.09 points or 0.49%.

Total market volume was 851.04 million shares compared to 858.05m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs44.90 billion showing an increase of Rs2.03bn.

There were 414,348 trades reported in 479 companies with 282 closing up, 158 closing down, and 39 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 48,845 points or 38.88% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 59,346 points or 51.55% so far this calendar year.
