Work on construction of 69MW Lawai hydel power station in full swing

ISLAMABAD, Sep 22: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), work on the construction of Lawai Hydelpower station in Chitral is in full swing.

The spokesman of Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization talking to Radio Pakistan said that the power station will be completed at a cost of twenty-two billion rupees by 2022. He said on completion, it will generate sixty-nine megawatts electricity.

The Chitral has the potential to generate two thousand and nine hundred megawatts electricity from hydel resources, he mentioned.
