Weekly SCRA records net sale of Rs720m

September 22, 2023 (MLN): The gross sale of securities during the week was recorded at Rs3.58 billion, which is around 32.31% lower than the figures recorded last week, according to a weekly report on Specially Convertible Rupee Accounts (SCRA) released by the State Bank of Pakistan.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs2.86bn, which is 40.85% lower than the prior week.

Consequently, the net sale of securities for the week ended September 15, 2023, clocked in at Rs720 million, as compared to a net sale worth Rs450m recorded last week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities decreased by Rs1.98bn while the net sale of securities decreased by Rs1.71bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs900m, while its outflow has been reported at Rs1.52bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs26.7bn, which marks a rise of Rs324m over the week.
