Weekly SCRA records net purchase of Rs119.07m

October 13, 2023 (MLN): The gross sale of securities during the week was recorded at Rs4.06 billion, which is around 102.72% higher than the figures recorded last week, according to a weekly report on Specially Convertible Rupee Accounts (SCRA) released by the State Bank of Pakistan.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs4.18bn, which is 90.24% higher than the prior week.

Consequently, the net purchase of securities for the week ended October 06, 2023 clocked in at Rs119.07m, as compared to a net purchase worth Rs194m recorded last week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities increased by Rs1.98bn while the net sale of securities increased by Rs2.06bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs2.59bn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs2.67bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs25.12bn, which marks a rise of Rs141.83m over the week.
