Weekly SCRA records net purchase of Rs1.55bn

September 08, 2023 (MLN): The gross sale of securities during the week was recorded at Rs3.13 billion, which is around 48.37% lower than the figures recorded last week, according to a weekly report on Specially Convertible Rupee Accounts (SCRA) released by the State Bank of Pakistan.

On the other hand, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs4.68bn, which is 67.12% higher than the prior week.

Consequently, the net purchase of securities for the week ended September 01, 2023 clocked in at Rs1.55bn, as compared to a net sale worth Rs3.26bn recorded last week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities increased by Rs1.88bn while the net sale of securities decreased by Rs2.93bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs2.08bn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs2.47bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs28bn, which marks a decline of Rs1.5bn over the week.
