VEON, Jazz delegation meets PTA to drive digital transformation

November 13, 2024 (MLN): A high-level delegation from VEON Group and Jazz visited the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), engaging in productive discussions with Chairman PTA, Major General (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman, on strategic initiatives to further digital transformation across Pakistan.

During the meeting, Chairman PTA highlighted PTA’s initiatives to create a robust environment for digital growth, ensuring seamless connectivity and support for the ICT sector.

The VEON and Jazz delegation expressed appreciation for PTA’s proactive measures in fostering a digital-friendly landscape and reiterated their commitment to supporting Pakistan’s journey towards a connected and empowered digital economy.

The delegation, led by Augie K Fabela, Founder & Chairman of the Board, VEON Group, included VEON Group’s Chief Executive Officer Kaan Terzioglu, Group Director of Corporate Affairs Marine Babayan, Jazz CEO Aamir Ibrahim, and Jazz VP of Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs Muddassar Hussain.
