USA leads as top export destination for Pakistan in FY24

July 19, 2024 (MLN): The U.S.A. was the top source of export receipts for Pakistan during the fiscal year 2023-24, with $5.43 billion worth of shipments, according to the data released by the State Bank of Pakistan.

However, this figure was down by 8.4% YoY against the exports of $5.93bn in the previous year.

This was followed by China, as Pakistan exported goods worth $2.71bn to the country as compared to the exports of $2.03bn recorded during the previous year, depicting a rise of 33.6% YoY.

U. K. was the third on the list as Pakistan generated export revenue worth $2.01bn from the country during the year. This figure was up by 2.2% from the exports of $1.97bn last year.

U. A. E. Dubai was the fourth in line as exports to the region during FY24 were $1.71bn, depicting an increase of 28.8% YoY.

Among other countries, Pakistan's exports to Germany stood at $1.51bn, marking a drop of 5.5% YoY, while exports to Spain increased by 5.4% YoY to $1.45bn.

Moreover, the export receipts received from Netherlands (Holland) stood at $1.38bn, down by 4.3% YoY.
