Turkish President presents Togg EV to Pakistan’s PM

February 14, 2025 (MLN): The Turkish homegrown electric vehicle Togg was gifted to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his two-day visit to Islamabad.

Erdogan presented Sharif with the T10X model Togg SUV, with a video clip showing both leaders examining the vehicle’s black exterior.

In the footage, Sharif can be seen sitting behind the wheel, while Erdogan occupies the passenger seat as the Pakistani premier takes the SUV for a drive.

Later, First Lady Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari drove Erdogan and her father, President Asif Ali Zardari, in a Togg SUV as media persons looked on, according to the press release.

Following Erdogan’s departure, Sharif expressed , thanking the Turkish president and First Lady Emine Erdogan for their visit and for bringing along a high-powered delegation from Türkiye.

Pakistan was the third stop in Erdogan’s three-nation Asia tour this week, following visits to Malaysia and Indonesia, where he gifted a similar model of the electric vehicle to Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.

During his visit, Pakistan and Türkiye signed 24 agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) on Thursday, aimed at enhancing trade and economic ties.

Erdogan also stated that he had held extensive discussions with the Pakistani prime minister on bilateral, regional, and global issues.
