May 07, 2020 (MLN): Small markets and small shops would be opened after sehri and allowed to be open till 6 pm.

Asad Umar, Federal Minister said that the National Coordination Committee (NCC) has decided to ease lockdown after reviewing the situation regarding the reopening of small businesses, educational institutions. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The Prime Minister said this lockdown caused financial hardship to the people of Pakistan which affected the revenue collection, dropped by 35 percent. Moreover, the exports also declined sharply amid lockdown.

The process of easing lockdown will be started from Saturday i.e. May 9, 2020 in phases with cautious stance.
