January 15, 2025 (MLN): The Executive Committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) convened to review and discuss the roles of various stakeholders in promoting export-based investment under the government’s 'Uraan Pakistan' program.

Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, briefed the committee, offering insights into the key aspects of the plan.

He also highlighted the collaborative efforts required from stakeholders, according to the press release.

The committee decided to develop an effective strategy for implementing 'Uraan Pakistan', the homegrown National Economic Plan (2024-29), which aims to achieve a trillion-dollar economy by 2035.

The SIFC emphasized the importance of utilizing the 'Whole of the Nation' forum to maximize the benefits of the program.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, presented a media strategy to support and effectively promote the 'Uraan Pakistan' program.

The CEO of the Public Private Partnership Authority (P3A) provided an update on the ongoing international consultancy support to ministries and departments.

The Committee directed that these efforts be expedited, with a particular focus on industrialization, critical infrastructure, and human resource development, to create a comprehensive repository of investable projects in each sector.

This initiative aims to fulfill the sovereign commitments made by friendly countries.
