SIFC executive committee reviews cross-sector progress across provinces

July 24, 2024 (MLN): The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) convened the 10th meeting of its Executive Committee on 23 July 2024 to review progress on cross-sectoral aspects meriting facilitation through all provinces, AJ&K and GB.

The meeting was chaired by the Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives and attended by concerned Federal Ministers, Federal Secretaries, Provincial Chief Secretaries and high-level government officials.

The ministries presented progress on various projects and policy-level initiatives, being steered through the forum of SIFC, and gave comprehensive plans to fast-track various matters.

The federal and provincial stakeholders developed consensus on major cross-sectoral matters related to various initiatives across the priority sectors.

The provinces contributed positively towards accomplishing various initiatives under SIFC, exhibiting a whole-of-the-government approach towards attracting investments in Pakistan.

The Committee also streamlined certain decisions required from leadership through the Apex forum.
