Secretary TDAP to visit PCMEA on July 18

Secretary Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Inam Ullah Khan Dharejo will visit the Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA) in on July 18, 2017.

“During his visit, the Secretary TDAP is expected to discuss about the International Carpet Exhibition to be held in October and other matters related to the carpet industry,” said Vice Chairman PCMEA, Riaz Ahmed while talking to media in Lahore on Friday.

He said, “The International Carpet Exhibition is a mega event for which all out efforts are being made for last many months.”

“In this regard, the PCMEA is facing certain issues therefore Secretary TDAP has been invited to pay a visit,” he said and expressed gratitude to the Secretary TDAP for accepting the invitation to visit the association's office.

He said, “After major efforts of PCMEA, the representatives of carpet industries from many foreign countries have decided to participate in the event.”

He expressed hope that, “Through this event, PCMEA will be able to portray a positive image of Pakistan before the world.” He urged the government and TDAP to walk alongside PCMEA for the success of the exhibition.

Talking about the visit of Secretary TDAP, Riaz Ahmed stated that, “During his visit, the early issuance of financial assistance for the exhibition, convenience of visa acquisition for Pakistan to the members of carpet industries of foreign countries and other matters would be discussed in detail.”

“We hope that the Secretary TDAP will make a final announcement of fulfilling all his promises,” Riaz Ahmed said.

Responding to a question, he said, “We wish Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to participate in the inaugural or concluding ceremony of the exhibition. Contacts are also being made for this purpose.”

Riaz Ahmed said, “The meeting will be attended by present and former members of the carpet industry.” He expressed hope that the meeting will yield positive results.
