SECP mandates gender pay gap disclosure in companies' annual reports

January 14, 2025 (MLN): The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has directed the board of directors of listed companies to prepare and include a statement on the gender pay gap in the annual report.

Additionally, the SECP has instructed that this statement also be made available on the company's website, according to a notice issued by the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

A suggestive template for the statement along with guidance on the calculation of the gender pay gap is provided for the facilitation of listed companies.

The circular applies to listed companies for the financial year ending on or after June 30, 2024.
