SECP allows reduction in market halt duration to 60 minutes

March 26, 2020 (MLN): Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has allowed a reduction in the duration of the Market Halt to 60 minutes from the earlier notified duration of 120 minutes, after considering the practical difficulties being faced by the Market Participants and the request made by PSX in this regard.

In a notification dated March 25, 2020, it has been further informed that the market halt shall not be applicable for the last 75 minutes of the market.

The above-revised arrangement shall be applicable from today i.e. Thursday, March 26, 2020, until the remaining period of 15 days as specified in an earlier notice.
