SC adjourns Bahria Town case till March 21

March 13, 2019 (MLN): The Bahria Town case has been adjourned till March 21, 2019 after submitting a new proposal of Rs 485 billion on Tuesday before the Supreme Court seeking an end to all inquiries.
According to an official source, during the hearing at Supreme Court today, the amount of Rs 440 billion for the 16,896-acre Karachi Superhighway project has been increased to Rs 450 billion.
Moreover, the order of payment of this amount has been decided as follows, Rs.2.25 billion will be paid each month for the first 5 years, after which the remaining amount will be paid in installments.
In addition to this, the amount will be paid on the condition that all cases against Bahria Town Directors and officials will be dismissed as per the law, said an official source.
