SBP to remain closed on August 14 on account of Independence Day

August 08, 2023 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on Monday, August 14, 2023, on the occasion of ‘Independence Day’ as declared by the Government of Pakistan, the latest notice issued by the central bank showed.

This is in supersession of the SBP’s announcement through a press release dated August 08, 2023, on the same subject.

Independence Day is a national holiday in Pakistan. It commemorates the day when Pakistan achieved independence and was declared a sovereign state.
