SBP reserves rise $21m to $11bn

February 27, 2025 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $20.9 million or 0.19% WoW to $11.22 billion during the week ended on February 21, 2025, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

On the other hand, the country's total reserves decreased by $22.2m or 0.14% WoW to $15.93bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks fell by $43.1m or 0.91% WoW to $4.7bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $1.83bn or 19.52%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen a decrease of $488.1m or -4.17%.
