SBP reserves rise $18m to $11.04bn

October 24, 2024 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $18 million or 0.16% WoW to $11.04 billion during the week ended on October 18, 2024, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

On the other hand, the country's total reserves decreased by $94.2m or 0.58% WoW to $16.02bn.

That was because the reserves held by commercial banks fell by $112.2m or 2.20% WoW to $4.98bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $1.65bn or 17.59%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $2.82bn or 34.3%.
