SBP reserves jump another $116m to $11.16bn

October 31, 2024 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $115.7 million or 1.05% WoW to $11.16 billion during the week ended on October 25, 2024, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $31.9m or 0.20% WoW to $16.05bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks fell by $83.8m or 1.68% WoW to $4.89bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $1.77bn or 18.82%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $2.94bn or 35.7%.
