SBP reserves decreased by $110.4m in a week

August 10, 2023 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) decreased by $110.4 million or 1.35% WoW to $8.04 billion during the week ended on August 04, 2023, according to the data released by the central bank on Thursday.

The decrease in SBP reserves was due to debt repayments.

Similarly, the country's total reserves fell by $124.6m or 0.93% WoW to $13.34bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks decreased by $14.2m or 0.27% WoW to $5.3bn.
