SBP notifies new office timings

April 28, 2021 (MLN): In line with the decision of the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC) to contain the spread of COVID-19, the State Bank of Pakistan has announced business hours for all banks, development finance institutions (DFIs) and microfinance banks (MFBs).

According to a circular issued by the central bank on Wednesday, the office hours to be observed in the SBP and all other banks and financial institutions would be from 09:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. without break from Monday to Thursday whereas on Fridays office hours would be from 09.00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. without break.

The banking hours for public dealing by all banks and MFBs would be 09:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. without break from Monday to Thursday while on Friday public dealing would close at 12:30 p.m., the notification said.
