SBP extends deadline for dollar imports until June 2025

September 23, 2024 (MLN): To ensure an adequate supply of cash USD in the open market, the State Bank of Pakistan has extended the deadline for the import of cash dollars against the export of foreign currencies to June 30, 2025.

Earlier in March, the SBP allowed exchange companies to import cash US Dollars up to 50% of the value of their export consignments till June 30, 2024.

"In order to ensure adequate supply of cash USD in open market, the validity of above instructions is hereby extended till June 30, 2025," reads a notice issued by the central bank on Friday.
