SAZEW: Three-wheelers sales drop by 5.64% MoM in Sept’21

October 12, 2021 (MLN): Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (SAZEW) sold 1,172 units of three-wheelers during the month of September 2021, i.e., down by 5.64% when compared to sales of 1,242 units recorded in the previous month.

In an announcement regarding the sales and production data of three-wheelers for September 2021, the company informed that the production for the month totaled 1,564 units, i.e., almost 12.36% greater than the units produced during the previous month.

Sazgar is a premier manufacturer of CNG 4 Stroke Auto Rickshaw (three-wheelers) and Automotive Wheel Rims. With manufacturing facilities based in Pakistan and a Global Dealer Network, Sazgar is leading the market in Pakistan and also exporting to international markets. During FY21, the company exported Auto Rickshaws to Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Senegal, Tanzania and Japan.

Further, the company sold 6 units of four-wheelers- Jeep and Cars in the said month against the production of 20 units, the notice stated.

Before September 2021, it sold only 2 units of the four-wheeler.

To note, the company commenced the commercial production of Jeep BJ-40L, an Off-Road vehicle, in August 2021 under brand “BAIC”, the company's official document said.
