Sale of passenger cars jump up by 20 percent in January: PAMA

February 11, 2019 (MLN): A total of 19,353 passenger car units were sold during the month of January, 2019, increasing by 4 percent (YoY) and taking the cumulative seven month sales up to 123,391 units.

Honda Atlas Cars sales demonstrated the highest growth MoM, after the company expanded production by 95 percent, whereas Pak Suzuki Motors (PSMC) reported stale sales despite improvement in its production numbers.

Furthermore, Total Trucks sold during the month grew by more than 78 percent MoM at 537 units. However, Truck sales posted a decline of 39 percent YoY from 884 units sold in January last year.

Total number of Buses sales declined by 62 percent MoM but grew by 20 percent YoY, with major sales number coming in from Hino as it sold 292 units in January.
