RLNG prices slashed by up to 9% for February

February 16, 2024 (MLN): Regassified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) prices for the month of February 2024 have been slashed by up to 8.7% and 9% for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) respectively, as per the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA)'s notification issued on Thursday.

Accordingly, the new prices for the month of February for SNGPL for distribution and transmission respectively are $11.55/MMBtu and $12.49/MMBtu respectively.

In comparison with the prices of January 2023, the overall decrease in terms of amount for SNGPL transmission is around $1.1/MMBtu and $1.2/MMBtu for transmission.

Similarly, the prices for February for SSGC are $11.13/MMBtu and $12.96/MMBtu respectively for transmission and distribution.

In comparison with the prices of the previous month, the overall decline in terms of the amount for SSGC transmission is $1.1/ MMBtu, while for distribution the change stands at $1.29/ MMBtu.

The decision to reduce prices is in accordance with the policy guidelines of the federal government.
