RLNG prices for SNGPL drops by $0.15/mmbtu: OGRA

January 17, 2023 (MLN): The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has declined the price of Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) for January 2023 by $0.15/mmbtu to $14.3/mmbtu, as per notification issued by regulatory on Monday.

During the month of January 2023, Pakistan imported 10 cargos as compared to 10 and 9 cargos during December 2022 and January 2022 respectively.

The authority also computed the total weighted average sale price of RLNG without GST for SNGP is estimated at $14.32/mmbtu.

This reduction in price will likely reduce the cost of power generation from the imported RLNG which may ease off prices for the consumers of SNGP.
