Report on sugar reforms to be released tomorrow: Hammad Azhar

December 15, 2021 (MLN): Hammad Azhar, Minister for Energy has informed that the recommendation report on sugar sector reforms will be shared by tomorrow through all mediums in collaboration with the ministry of information.

The committee chaired by Minister for Energy had presented its recommendations to the federal cabinet whereby it approved the issuance of the recommendations of the report of the special committee on sugar sector reforms for public opinion.

While taking to his Twitter handle, he said, “The Prime Minister Imran Khan instructed that report be released and discussed publicly for next 3 weeks.

“The thrust of reform is towards deregulation, documentation, enhancing competition in the sugar sector,” he noted.
