PSX reschedules Al-Abbas Sugar, Altern Energy book closures

May 28, 2024 (MLN): The start date of the book closure of Al-Abbas Sugar Mills Limited (PSX: AABS) and Altern Energy Limited (PSX: ALTN) has been changed to May 30, 2024 from the existing notified date i.e. May 29, 2024.

This change is attributed to the public holiday observed today on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer, as declared by the Government of Pakistan as informed by the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

Youm-e-Takbir is celebrated as a national day in Pakistan on May 28 in commemoration of Chagai-I and Chagai-II series of nuclear tests.
