April 22, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Tuesday's trading session at 118,430.35, showing an increase of 46.97 points or 0.04%.

The index traded in a range of 1,055.52 points showing an intraday high of 119,217.19 (+833.81) and a low of 118,161.67 (-221.71) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 353.61 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 45 closed up, 52 closed down, 2 were unchanged, while 1 remained untraded.

Top gainers during the day were FCEPL (+10.00%), AGP (+7.25%), HMB (+5.78%), ATLH (+5.52%), and FFC (+4.90%).

On the other hand, top losers were PGLC (-9.94%), BOP (-8.49%), PIBTL (-6.24%), KTML (-5.85%), and UBL (-4.00%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were FFC (+474.21pts), ENGROH (+113.31pts), HMB (+80.85pts), AGP (+39.85pts), and ATLH (+25.26pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were UBL (-319.54pts), MEBL (-134.89pts), EFERT (-69.48pts), MCB (-44.81pts), and BOP (-44.28pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Fertilizer (+413.37pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+106.16pts), Pharmaceuticals (+56.16pts), Automobile Assembler (+24.96pts), and Technology & Communication (+24.69pts).

While the index was let down by Commercial Banks (-474.63pts), Textile Composite (-33.40pts), Cement (-31.78pts), Refinery (-21.08pts), and Tobacco (-19.94pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 73,872.65 with a net loss of 98.29 points or 0.13%.

Total market volume was 740.87 million shares compared to 672.43m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs30.52 billion showing a decrease of Rs5.91bn.

There were 347,414 trades reported in 448 companies with 214 closing up, 193 closing down, and 41 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 39,985 points or 50.97% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 3,303 points or 2.87% so far this calendar year.
