PSX: Closing Bell - Index Down 1.24 Percent

The stock market today witnessed a decrease of 1.24pc. The market closed on 48,689.12, falling by 611.48 points. The FIPI numbers revealed the bearish sentiment from foreign corporate and local Mutual Funds being one of the major reasons for today’s decline. The net buy/sell position of foreign investors stood at (4.70) Million USD.

All Share Volume decreased by 90.95 Million to 198.97 Million Shares while Market Cap decreased by Rs.115.99 Billion.

Total companies traded were 378 compared to 386 from the previous session. Of the scrips traded 84 closed up, 280 closed down while 14 remained unchanged.

Total trades decreased by 20,699 to 74,537.

Value Traded decreased by 5.40 Billion to Rs.10.73 Billion
